Orbital gesture proposes a migration of the surf skate from the streets onto the stage. The departure point is the performative appropriation of the skateboard as an interface that mediates a kinetic dialogue between two performers. It places the audience in the center of an abstract movement experience fuelled by the engine of repetition. The two performers interact with each other through the omni present language of centrifugal forces generated by their engagement with the skateboards. The functional/objective gestures that project the skateboards into space, progressively emerge as subjective, abstract and relational, weaving a lexicon of kinetic meaningfulness the performers embody in order to communicate.
